Obituary of Calvin William Pierce

In Loving Memory WILLIAM CALVIN PIERCE September 28, 1929- June 28, 2014 Calvin Pierce, a resident of Kagawong, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya on Saturday. He was born in Billings Twp. son of the late Russell and Gladys (Montgomery) Pierce. Calvin had worked for the MTO for over 35 years. He had a variety of interests and hobbies which included woodcutting, gardening, hunting and fishing, making maple syrup and pretty much anything outdoors. Calvin was predeceased by his beloved wife Rita on June 20, 2013. Loving and loved father of Darlene Shannahan (Edward) of Espanola, Dwight (Carol) of Lively, Kevin (Linda) of Kagawong and Darren (Gaetan Beaulieu) of Milton. Predeceased by daughter Beverly Rochon. Proud grandfather of Ann-Marie, Trevor, Spencer, Becky, Christopher, Adam, Deanna, Brandon, Jessica and Kevin Jr. and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Elda Burt and Linda Brandow. Also survived by brothers in law Ed Burt and Melvin Brandow and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. when the funeral service to celebrate Calvin's life will be conducted by Rev. Mary Jo Eckert Tracy.
