Obituary of Katherine Wright

Katherine Wright passed away on July 9th at the Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay. Predeceased by her husband Alvin Wright. Daughter of the late Jessie (nee McDougall) and of the late Alexander McCannell. During her working life, she was a Central Store clerk and employed at Hester's Variety Store. She enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, knitting and crochet. Loving and loved mother of Sandy (Rose) of McKerrow and Bev (Claudette) of Webbwood. Beloved grandmother of Cindy (Dwayne), Tammy (Brian), Janey (Greg), Shelley (Kori), Lee, Katherine, Sean, Kellie (Doug), Molly (Jody), James (Elizabeth), Amanda (Zac). Great grandmother of Sarah, Adam, Jordan and Daphne, Angel, Alex, Rose Leigh, Jesse, Ricke, Autumn, Hunter, April and Jordan. She is also survived by her great great grandchild Lydia. Katie is predeceased by her siblings James, Lauchie, Neil and Annie. She is survived by her in-laws Edith, Roy, Madeline, Betty and predeceased by her in-laws Marge (Norm), Clifford and Bill. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay on Saturday, July 12th, 2014 from 10 - 11 a.m.. The funeral service to celebrate Katy's life will be conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Reverend Janice Frame officiating.
