Obituary of Betty Addison

Betty Addison, a resident of Silver Water, passed away on July 12th at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya.. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Ronald Addison. Beloved daughter of the late Jessie (nee Sloss) and of the late Alex Brown. She was a talented gardener who truly enjoyed tending to her flowers and watching the beautiful sunsets at Silver Lake. Betty’s generous nature, sense of humour, and pride in her family will be forever remembered and missed. Loving and loved mother of Michael (Laurie) Addison of Gore Bay and Sharon Addison (John Lloyd) of Toronto. Beloved grandmother of Curtis, Janelle, Heather and Carolyn. Cherished sister of Bill (Marilyn) Brown of Sault Ste. Marie, Marie (Don) Allen of Silver Water and Murray (Susan) Brown of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear sister-in-law of Jack (Alice) Addison of Mentor, Ohio, Lorna (Tom) Caley of Port Elgin, and Lyle (Ann) Addison of Silver Water. Betty is survived by many cousins nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by her relatives and her many friends, especially in the community of Silver Water. Family and friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home in Gore Bay on Friday, July 18th, 2014 from 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at St Andrew’s United Church in Silver Water on Saturday, July 19th, 2014. at 11 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St Andrew’s United Church in Silver Water (by cheque only please) would be greatly appreciated.
