Obituary of Geraldine Gladys Bould

In Loving Memory GERALDINE GLADYS BOULD March 1, 1928 - September 16, 2014 Geraldine Bould, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, died at the Lodge on Tuesday, at the age of 86 years. She was born in Billings Township, daughter of the late Milton and Emma Jean (Tustian) Dearing. Geraldine left Billings in 1943 to attend school in Mindemoya. From 1946 to 1949 she attended Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener then returned to Mindemoya where she was employed at Waggs Creamery. She then went to Lachine, Quebec where she took the job as Supervisor at WMS Children's Home. After this she attended Albert College in Belleville for 2 years. Geraldine then became a student minister at a 7 point charge in Matheson and travelled Ontario with WMS Leadership training. She then attended the United Church Training School from 1954 - 56 when she graduated. She was designated as a Deaconess and commissioned as a Missionary in the Hamilton Conference. In 1959 she married Rev. David Bould and joined him in Saskatchewan until July of 1964 when they came to Gore Bay where they stayed for 15 years, and 2 years at Ice Lake. In 1981 they moved to Lions Head for a team ministry for 2 years. Then to Tobermory for 1 year then Kileyth 3 point charge for 6 years followed by 1 year off. Geraldine then went to the Mattawa area for 2 years, retiring to Gore Bay in 1992. Loving mother of Jack, and his wife Jenn of Ice Lake and Douglas and his wife Dawn of Kanata. Proud grandmother of Cassandra and R.J. and Richard and Jennifer. Dear sister of Dorothy Crozier (husband Harry predeceased) of Sudbury, Meryl Gibson (husband Charlie predeceased) of Espanola and Repha Van Horn, husband Varley of Mindemoya. Also predeceased by sisters Irene Sheppard and her husband Albert, Leta Taylor and her husband Clarence and an infant brother Clifford. Also survived bymany nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral service to celebrate Geraldine's life will be conducted at Lyons Memorial United Church, Gore Bay on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment in Kagawong Cedars Cemetery.
