Obituary of Norita Anne Prestage

Norita Anne Prestage (nee Best) August 29, 1937 - March 31, 2015 Norita ("Toad") passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at her home in Sudbury. Norita grew up in Gordon Township and was the elder daughter of the late Bert and Annie (MacDougall) Best. Norita was married for 56 years to the late Doug ("Eddie") Prestage. Norita taught for 30 years at Falconbridge Public School, and since retirement has divided her time between Sudbury and a summer home in Kagawong. Norita loved to cook, and loved to entertain but above all else loved her role as a Gramma. Norita is survived by her son J.A., her daughter-in-law Lisa Goodmurphy and her beloved granddaughters Katie and Emma. She will be missed by her sister Nickie (Art) Hinds, her special cousin Betty-Lou Purvis, and an extended group of friends and family. A celebration of life will take place at Lyons Memorial United Church in Gore Bay, Ontario on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 11 a.m.. Internment at Gordon Cemetery.
