Obituary of JONATHAN JOSEPH HARWOOD

In Loving Memory JONATHAN JOSEPH HARWOOD August 15, 1939 - March 27, 2013 John Harwood, a resident of Britainville Rd., Spring Bay, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side, on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. He was born in Timmins, son of the late Jonathan Joseph and Mabel (Convery) Harwood. John had worked as a custodian for the Sudbury Board of Education from 1972 until 1996. He had a variety of interests, which included hunting, woodworking and loved to go for drives in the evening looking for deer. Anyone who knew John will also remember him for enjoying playing practical jokes on everyone. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Sharon on October 7, 2010. Loved and loving father of Kathy Pitre, husband Leo of Sudbury, Tammy Gaudet, husband Jerome of Sudbury, Tim Harwood, wife Lesa of Garson and Kelly Harwood, husband Robin of Garson. Proud grandfather of Melissa, Lisa, Jason, Kayla, Tyler and Josh and great grandchildren Braxton and Ashtyn. Also survived by siblings and their spouses Sid and Lou Brown (both predeceased), Gwen Longpre (Bill predeceased) of Kitchener, Ron Brown (wife Dorothy predeceased) of Garson, Stella Botting (husband Earl predeceased) of Huntsville, Lenora and Clifford Provincial of Garson, Martin and Sharron Harwood of Huntsville and Christina and Ron Steffler of Kitchener. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with John's wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation will take place, with burial of ashes beside his beloved wife at Providence Bay Cemetery.
